Do You Know Which Braun's Shaver Is The Best?
There are still a lot of men shaving with a razor blade. This type of shaver is convenient, quick, and gives you a close shave. Once you wear out the blade sharpness, you throw it away. There are no shaver parts to replace or deal with.
But now, most men are using and frequently buying electric shavers, like the Bruan's or the Norelco. This trend has been ongoing for over 60 years and will continue, since most manufacturers keep improving their product.
It was 75 years ago that the first electric razor was invented. Some of the first shavers had no replacement parts. Once the shaver broken down, you had to throw it away.
If you take apart an Electric Shaver, the shaver parts you will find are a rechargeable battery, a switch, an electric motor, and blades. The batteries are connected to a small printed circuit board that charges the batteries, when you do the recharging process. The circuit board also contains the switch and the motor controller circuit.
In addition, there is also a small circuit board that has LEDs that light, when the batteries need charging or are being charged.
In the case where the shaver consists of three heads, there is a shaft from the motor that engages three gears to rotate the cutting heads. These are the very basic shaver parts of most shavers.
There two popular electric shavers – foil head and rotary head. The foil head shaver moves rows of blades back and fourth, where as the rotary head has a motor that rotates the heads.
To remove the screen from the foil head shaver, unplug the power. Remove the head and clean it. If it is damage or has corrosion replace it. Remove the blade assembly and clean it with canned air. For any lubrication needed, follow the manufacturer's directions.
The rotary head can be disassembled in the same fashion. You can clean the head assembly and the blade assembly with a small brush. Be sure to replace the damage shaver parts.
By following some simple instructions, you can clean and lubricate your shaver. If you need to replace some parts, just buy the parts and replace them. You don't need to take your shaver to an electric shop. Inspect and clean your electric foil or rotary head unit monthly, to keep your shaver working like new for a long time.

Which is the best electric shaver?
I am planning to buy an electric shaver either from Philips (rotary) or Braun (foil). I have no info over both of their performances. Is the Philips arcitec system performs better than the Braun pulsonic while shaving thick haired skin? What do you think would be the best for a close-shave?
One more thing: have any of you have any bad experiences with the noise of the shaver at all?
I've used Braun (foil) and Norelco (rotary), specifically. I would say that, through experience, the Bruan gives me a closer shave by far over the Norelco, especially since my facial hair is thicker...
The Rotary shavers do not make as much noise as the Foil shavers do, but that doesn't bug me to much...
