Spearheaded by style icon Tarun Tahiliani, the Tarun Tahiliani Design Studio and Signature is housed in Delhi. It is acknowledged as one of India’s premier independent design houses. He brings to Evoluzione the collection he showed at Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week 2006. It is a bouquet of dreamy summer fantasies, enveloped in shades of white, ecru and Warm Beige with splashes of colour from a palette that moves on from the short, joyous Indian spring to flatter the sultry Indian summer. Keeping to his signature style, Tarun’s fabric preference veers towards the natural and this collection uses a combination of pure cottons, linens, muslin, stretch cotton and viscose, structured twills and silk jerseys.
The collections this year include skillful combinations on fine traditional embroideries like chikan, playfully twinned with appliqué work to give a fresh look or infused with crochet, pearl appliqué and patched lace work.
Divided into distinct lines, the collection sets off with the signature Tarun Tahiliani line. Taking inspiration from the tulips, flowers and lace, this collection of soft pastels and elegant whites makes an ethereal summer dream. Sarees and lehengas and soft summer jackets form the core garments, in addition to the draped kurtas.
The diffusion line also presents more western variations and includes a range of semi - casual attire with a subtle injection of fun! The line has been inspired by Mughal architecture and includes mirror work matched with delicate sequins. Throw in shirt dresses matched with stretch shorts, cropped white t-shirts and full paneled skirts, soft bolero jackets and jodhpurs for added variety. The diffusion line also includes a special Men’s range which emphasises the classic and comfortable style personally epitomised by the designer. The range includes dinner style shirts, soft classic linen pants and formal wear.
The new Tarun Tahiliani - everyday wear range epitomizes his dream. Specially designed keeping in mind the Indian summer, this range is a toast to the growing young urban Indian for whom independence, comfort and a sense of self have created a demand for unique clothing. It is at once trendy and epitomises the global Indian. It includes shirts, pants, shirt dresses, kurtas, kaftan tunics, capris, slips and camisoles that the user will mix and match at her discretion for an accessible price.

What paint colors would go good with a toasted coconut (a neutral beige) and maroon red?
The living room and dining area is painted these two colors. There are two other rooms (kitchen and a 2nd dining room) that are open to these rooms and attach to the hallway. So these rooms would need to match. I can paint mainly the neutral color, but offset some walls with another color that's not red. What do you suggest?
Our couches are a dark chocolate brown, which look good against the red and neutral color.
I am doing similar coordination with three common rooms that look into each other. I found that it didn't look good with one room being lighter than the others but instead all three the same depth of tone and went with a medium base on all three so no certain room sticks out.
Do you have other colors in your upholsetery in the living room, like a green or something? I would take an accent color from a fabric or pattern or drape in the living room and use it in the other room. For example my living room is a warm gold but the furniture has a lot of cranberry and sage and deeper tan so the two adjoining rooms are sage and the other in the tan ( I felt burgundy was too dark and would lok too bold among the med gold and sage rooms and happy I stayed with in the same hue and not too dark or bright with one room). After about two months dillemma and a $30.00 gallon of wrong shade too ( I went with a paler gold for the dining and it looked misfitting among the medium shaded rooms) I am happy and can sleep at night. Colors are starting to drive me crazy.
