Top 3 Tips to Reorganise Your Kitchen Cupboards
1) Be ruthless
Cupboards in kitchens can become the favourite hiding place of many items which are no longer useful or have never been used in the first place. Taking one cupboard at a time, remove anything which you no longer use or need and either pass on to friends or family or take to a charity shop. You’ll probably find tins or packets of food which are well past their sell by date so getting rid of these will also free up space in the cupboard. There may also be items which simply don’t belong in this area and need relocating to other rooms in the home. If you have a utility room then this can be the ideal place to store cleaning items to give you more space for food in your cupboards.
2) Clever cleaning
This area can collect a great deal of grease, steam and grime from cooking and these can even reach into your cupboards. If you live in an older home then damp can be a problem in base units and cupboards. The more you store in your cupboards, the harder they’ll be to clean so once you’ve completed step one, remove everything else from your cupboards so they are completely empty. Next take a bowl of warm water with a small squirt of cleaning detergent in it and thoroughly wash the cupboard bottoms, walls and tops, including the inside and outside of the doors. If your cupboards are susceptible to damp then consider investing in a small dehumidifier to help keep the moisture levels low. Once your cupboards are sparkling, you can then start to refill them.
3) Refilling cupboards
If you’ve spent hours on your hands and knees cleaning your cupboards it can be tempting just to throw the contents back in and call it a job done. When your cupboards are empty it is the perfect opportunity to refill them in a way which will make cooking and baking much easier. Decide which items you use on a regular basis such as pans, baking trays and utensils and make sure these are stored at the front of the cupboards nearest to the cooker. Next think about what items you don’t use as regularly such as baking tins and gadgets like hand blenders and store these in the bottom or towards the back of cupboards. If there are items which you don’t use often but still want to keep then consider storing these in sealed containers in a garage or shed. Food should ideally be kept off the ground floor cupboards. You can transfer awkward boxes and packets into smart containers to save space and make your cupboard look much tidier.
Now you have more organised cupboards you will have more space to store items from your worktops and have more room for cooking.

How to get kitten to stop climbing legs?
I have a 10 week old kitten who is very playful. Overall, he is very good, but his one bad habit is climbing people's legs. He does it to me when I am refilling his water bowl, putting up laundry, etc. So far I have put him in "time out" for a few minutes, a small place with his water bowl, litter pan, and food, but I'm not sure if he is getting the message. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to continue punishing him but he needs to stop this behavior as it is painful with his claws digging into legs. Thanks!
your kitten climbs your leg because you are doing something of interest to him that is out of his line of sight.
Being 10 weeks of age, they have almost no self control. An older cat will eventually learn that you will bring the item back to the cat, but the kitten can not make that mental leap. You have his food bowl, he wants his food bowl, this nice leg is here to bridge that gap.
Distraction works but not always. Wear heavy pants, trim the claws, or invite the cat up to watch what you are doing, either by placing on a perch or on the counter or holding the kitten.
