Theory #3: Free Radicals
When it comes to healing wrinkles, we have some news. Dermatologists recently reported that older skin cells contain more free radical molecules, while antioxidant levels are lower. If left unchecked, they say, the molecules damage the cellular membrane, the collagen fibers and DNA strands. They attribute all of the signs of aging to free radical damage.
Tricks Can Be Solutions
There are new instant wrinkle removers on the market that make you look better initially by bending light just slightly, so that the skin looks smoother than it is. It's a trick, but the new cream is also effective at healing wrinkles, because it contains a unique antioxidant.
An extract from sheep's wool has been shown in laboratory studies to act as an "enzymatic" antioxidant. Instead of one molecule to counter one free radical molecule, one molecule can counter and control millions of free radicals. Is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector Concealer bad for young skin?
I'm 16, and I went shopping for a new concealer the other day. I noticed maybelline instant age rewind double face perfector concealer, and I really liked how they had the hilighter on the end. Just my luck, I didn't notice that it said "age-rewind" until after several uses (haha i know.). My question is, is age rewind bad for young skin, or will it really not affect it? Because I don't want to use something on my skin that I really don't need, you know? It's like using anti-wrinkle cream when you dont have any wrinkles.
Good news: it's not bad for young skin! I'm 23 years old and I use it and I love it! According to Paula Begoun, a skincare and makeup expert and author of of the book "Don't go to the cosmetics counter without me", it is named "age rewind" to hide adult imperfections like discolorations from the sun or broken capillaries. She puts this concealer on her list of "best concealers". So, it's not necessarily an anti-aging product; it deosn't contain ingredients that may harm young skin, and it doesn't have to be used just for purposes mentioned. You can use it at any age and any way you feel is suitable for you.
I use a little bit of highlighter and more concealer for the dark circles under my eyes, and only the concealer for pores on my nose, and it covers really well. Sometimes I use the highlighter on the top of my cheekbones for a radiant effect.
