I'm trying out for my high school's dance team in about 2 weeks, what can I do to firm up quickly?
Also how do I shine to the judges and make them notice me over everyone else? Any makeup ideas? Thanks!
i am on my high school's dance team. I would jus say make sure you know how to count (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 1 and 2 and 3 and 4... or 1 and uh 2 and uh 3 uh) all of those. Also make sure when you perform you have attitude as in smiling making faces that go with the judges. Because if you mess up they probably won't even notice because of your ANIMATED FACE!!! make sure your face is veryyyyyyyy animated, and make sure your face goes with the genre of music that's on. Like if it's hip-hop you could have attitude, twist your mouth or whatever, but if it's like jazz or lyrical or sumthing, you could smile the whole time. Oh and wear your hair up in a cute but tight ponytail. Make sure makeup is natural but kinda makes u stand out. Like put a little bit of glitter over your eyes or sumthin. It works because makeup makes your facial expressions stand out better if ur audience or judges are far away. Like instead of using a light pink lipstick, maybe u could use some bright or dark red and put a lot of Lip Gloss on ur lips so that ur lips stick out when you're smiling or whatever. All i have to say tho is u don't have to "firm up" quickly as u say. If you really love to dance and you really want to be on the team, you'll make it because it'll show up in your performance.
