Check Existing Appliances: If your basement has appliances which use water, make sure that you check the hoses and pipes for leaks. With electrical appliances, check if any of the wiring needs replacement.
Remember, while making a basement a part of your living space can be a great idea, you should also ensure that it is a safe place for your family to be in.

Should you wear a powder finish with foundation?
I use Bobbi Brown Compact Foundation (it's a creme to powder finish) should I start putting a powder finish over it?
And if so what kind of powder finish?
It depends on what is happening to your skin after you apply the foundation. If your foundation doesn't give you a matte or powder finish, then you may want to add a light layer of powder.
In theory a creme to powder finish is supposed to eliminate the powdering process, but that would only be possible for everyone in a perfect world. Everyone's skin is different, so the foundation could still leave a bit of an oily finish which would increase the need for a powder.
