Your First Makeup Tools Kit
Achieving a Flawless Face isn't just about the makeup, but how it's applied. The right tools can help you achieve your makeup goals more precisely and easily. Every makeup brush, like other makeup tools, has its own function. But you don't need them all. Choose the tools that make sense for you. Makeup tools may include cosmetic Brushes, Cosmetic Containers, Makeup Mirror, Tweezers, Cosmetic Bags, Eyelash Curler, Cosmetic Case and Makeup Kits.
One should take right tools for wearing makeup as they are very important like makeup. Makeup tools have a tendency to be underrated aspect and overlooked for large numbers of women. Makeup accessories for most of women contain lip brush, powder puff or little makeup brushes. If one who is cared for makeup brushes in the right manner, makeup tools can be last for numbers of years. Before buying makeup brushes, one should examine that brushes should be full and soft and feel easy in the hand. If bristles of brushes come out, do not buy the brushes as it can make worse for the skin.
Good quality brushes are essential if you want professional looking makeup. In my opinion, they are the most important tools a girl can have in her bag. The two main brushes that you need are for powder and blush, both of which should have soft, natural bristles.
Some Makeup Tools
Makeup sponge - For applying foundation. You can also apply foundation with your fingers, if you find this easier. However, dabbing on foundation with a makeup sponge will give you better coverage. A triangle-shaped makeup sponge is the best tool for applying foundation as it reaches areas such as the sides of the nose and the corners of the eyes. Any excess blusher and flaky eye makeup can be wiped away with a makeup sponge.
Eye liner brush - Powdery eyeshadow can also be used as an eyeliner by applying eyeshadow with a damp, narrow brush. A narrow brush gets right to the base of the lashes. You can also apply liquid liner with an eye liner brush.
Sponge applicator - Use a sponge applicator to apply eyeshadow to the eyelid. Starting from the outer corner of the eye, blend the eyeshadow using a shading brush.
Concealer brush - The concealer brush is slightly flat. It helps hide circles under the eyes, patches around the nose, and any small flaws and blemishes neatly and naturally. The bristles should be fairly firm as a soft-bristled brush may create an uneven finish.
Powder puff - Use a powder puff to apply Loose Powder over foundation and touch up makeup throughout the day. For an even matt result, apply powder by pressing, not dragging the powder puff over the skin. Tap any excess powder from the puff onto the back of your hand for a light result.
Lumene - Facial powders always include a powder puff.
Eyelash curler - It is an absolutely essential tool for your makeup. While it may look like a mini medieval torture device, this tool is actually extremely helpful in opening up the eye and adding a dramatic look to any makeup creation. The key when using an eyelash curler is to learn how to hold it.
Other great products to have in your kit include slant tweezers, a brush cleaner and good-quality makeup brushes. With tweezers, the important thing to remember is to buy a pair that has textured ends for easy grip and painless hair removal.

What makeup colours (eyeshadow, lipstick etc.) best suit dark hair?
Exactly as the title states except may I add that my hair isn't black but a very dark brown. What makeup would suit it? I also have long hair, no fringe or layers. My complexion is fair to mid-tan and I have Green Eyes.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Here's my make up routine:
Base:
Get a foundation the matches your skin-tone, I use Clinique Super-fit makeup in 'Shell.' Find a complimentary blush, I have a rose color, and blend that on your cheeks.
Eyes:
I have this great eyeshadow duo that's just a tad lighter than my skin, and and just a tad darker. If you find one similar to that, I recommend it.
Application: Brush the lighter color from your eyelashes to your eyebrow bone. Take the darker tone and put it just on you eyelid.
If you're going for a really natural look, put just a touch of eyeliner on, I like liquid because it doesn't smear. (I've had the hardest time finding on that doesn't leave me looking tired after an hour. Pencil always smudges under my eye within an hour.) I'd use black or clear mascara on your lashes, curling them makes you look much more awake. If you don't have a curler (you can find them for under five dollars at any supermarket/drug store) you can use a spoon. Put it right at the base of your lashes and then with your fingers, apply pressure and lift up. Not quite as effective, but many make-up stylists recommend it.
Lips:
A nice clear Lip Gloss will look very sophisticated and young.
Something a little different:
If you want to jazz up your makeup routine, I suggest a dark purple, plum, or mauve eyeshadow. You can get it wet and apply it heavier and right at the base of your lashes for a pop of color. It also sets your eyeliner.
