Take the worry out of studying abroad
Higher studies abroad is no longer a pie in the sky. Today it is within the reach of many unlike in the past. But life abroad has its own uncertainties and you must be prepared to meet them. One of the most common difficulties faced by students is medical problems, and since healthcare is very costly very few students can afford it. Another problem is disruption of studies due to unexpected family problems back home and the need to come back for that and consequent expenses. That is where insurance comes in. Medical insurance helps you to meet unforeseen emergencies cost effectively. It is also a mandatory requirement in almost all foreign universities.
ICICI student medical insurance offers you comprehensive cover against unexpected events, particularly those which may need medical treatment. It will provide you timely assistance when you need it most.
ICICI’s Gold Plan is accepted by most foreign universities as a substitute for their compulsory medical insurance. It covers out-patient expenses and is available without medical check-ups, and is tailor made to meet the needs of the Indian student. Above all it can be purchased in Indian Rupees, and costs just one-third of the cost of a similar policy abroad.
The Gold Plan covers medical expenses ranging from USD 50,000 to USD 250,000 incurred due to illness or accidents and includes emergency evacuation. It covers all defined outpatient, in-patient, medical aid, therapies, procedures and diagnostic tests.
In case the policy holder suffers a personal accident the Gold Policy will cover him up to USD 25,000.
The Gold Plan offers a dental coverage of USD 250 for the treatment of injuries suffered to the natural teeth of the policy holder.
If the policy holder dies abroad the Gold Plan will pay for repatriating the remains back to India. This is included in the medical cover and has no sub-limit.
The policy covers permanent loss of checked-in baggage up to USD 1000.
The Gold Plan also offers a cover of USD 100,000 for meeting personal liabilities caused by death, injury or damage to the health or property of a third party.
In case the policy holder is arrested by the police or judicial authorities for a bailable offense the policy will offer a bail bond of USD 5000.
If the policy holder suffers study interruption due to a medical condition or family problems the policy will reimburse him the remaining part of the current school semester fee up to a maximum of USD 7500.
In case the student’s sponsor, that is the person who pays for the student’s studies, dies the Gold Plan will pay him tuition fees amounting to USD 10,000.
If the student or a close relative gets hospitalized (for more than seven days), and the student or his relative has to visit India or abroad, the policy will pay him USD 7500. The relative going abroad will be provided to and fro economy class tickets and accommodation.
All the benefits/reimbursements offered by the Gold Plan will be available only up to the maximum limit specified and the maximum duration of a trip is 365 days.
The minimum age at which the plan is available is 16 and the maximum is 35 years. Professional and semi-professional sportsmen are not eligible for coverage under this plan.
The policy should start before commencement of the trip and will last its entire duration.
The Gold Plan scores over the Silver and Bronze Plans as its coverage is much more comprehensive. The Silver Plan’s coverage is limited to medical expenses, dental expenses and repatriation of remains, while the Bronze Plan does not cover medical, dental expenses and those incurred for the repatriation of remains.
However, the Gold Plan has some exclusions. The policy does not cover pre-existing conditions, addiction to alcohol and narcotic drugs, mental disorders, anxiety, depression, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, HIV, radiation, injuries caused by nuclear weapons and sporting activities. It also does not cover expenses due to loss of valuables, money, securities and tickets and loss of passport in public places and personal liabilities of the insured.

Tanning and changing the foundation?
So every time i go swimming i get tanned, and my foundation becomes a lot lighter, my body would look bronze and nice, my face would look pasty white, but the problem is, I don't know how to chose a different Foundation Color, I either buy it too dark or too light, how do I know the right shade for me?
And do you know a foundation brand, that gives Full Coverage, and drys on the face so it doesn't feel oily or pasty, or smudges anything that I come in contact with... thanks.
I had the same problem until I found the mineral powders...I haven't used foundation for 5 or 6 years. I am 37 and get compliments on my complexion all the time now. and it's easy to create the perfect color match!
