Washers and Dryers That Are Decorating Accessories?
Nothing can depress a home owner more than a huge pile of washing that needs to be cleaned...urgently! Next in line would be the LG and Whirlpool washers. Most front loaders come in more interesting designs compared to top loaders, so watch out for these when you're scouring the stores. An added bonus of these versatile sets is the fact that they include child safety gadgets to prevent any kind of tragedy.
If you're totally dreaming of this concept already I bet you're now wondering how in the world you're going to make it fit into your living room or kitchen design. Especially for those who don't have it as part of their room set-up yet, it can be quite a dilemma. Would you rather change the whole theme to accommodate your new machine? Don't worry! In Numbers 15:38 why is the cord to be blue?
I can read I know why you are to where a blue cord so don't go there.
What I'm asking is why blue?
Why not red? I mean the law reveals our sins to us and our sins are as scarlet.
Why not white? I mean the law if we obey it per Duet 6:5 we would be pure and is not white the color or Purity.
Why blue?
To my Jewish friends, Yes I know your custom I'm not attacking your custom of only white tzit tzit because I understand why. I'm asking why God commanded blue. Whats the midrash on this command?
Alisa - I do not believe that God has anything in the torah that is meaningless. There are reasons for everything. I do understand what you are driving at though. But it is my belief that the Torah contains no idle words.
And I know one may have the correct answer. I'm just trying to find out what people think's it means.

A very interesting question and one that got me searching for an answer. I found two answers on this question
1) Shulkhan Arukh HaRav Seif 11 para 27 explains that we should wind 7 windings of the techeiles with a know between each one- each winding alluding to one of the seven heavens (Discussed in the Talmud, masechta Chagigah)
2) Midrash Tanchuma Parsha Naso Seif 15: Rabbi Meir says that the Techeiles alludes to the sea as it comes from the chilazon; The sea in turn is an allusion for the heavens, and the heavens to the Kisei HaKavod (The Throne of Glory). Thus when we look upon the tzitzit- we are reminded of the mitzvot and of our creator.
I did do a quick look in Midrash Rabbah, but didn't see any midrashim their specifically related to the techeiles.
edit: I read the Ramban on this verse and his explanation reflects that of the Midrash Tanchuma. He also includes the statement that the Techeieles alludes to G-d's attribute of being all encompassing . Thus in viewing it we are reminded of all the mitzvot that the tzitzit allude to.
