Paper Jewelry - Ideas for a base/foundation?
I make custom graphics and would like to use some of these as pendants for jewelry. I thought I could seal them with something like Krylon Crystal Clear. My question is, what can I use for a base, so that the piece is sturdy?
I've seen mounting board used to good effect, but it's still a bit bendy. I'm hoping to find a material that's sturdy, and that can be cut, sawn, or otherwise formed into shapes fairly easily. Any ideas?
Thin plexiglas. Cheaper than metal, super sturdy, and can be cut into any shape you want. If you hand cut it, use a jeweler's saw with a spiral saw blade. Use a jig if you can for straighter cuts. Should be available at your local hardware store.
